India records 20,036 new COVID-19 cases, 256 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: Maintaining the steady decline in the COVID-19 cases, India recorded 20,036 new cases in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health data revealed on Friday.

The total number of cases in the country now stands at 1,02,86,710.

The death toll due to the virus now stands at 1,48,994 after 256 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

There are 254254 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 9883461 people have been discharged from hospital.
