India records 20,799 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, which is currently witnessing the festive season, reported  20,799 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Monday.

In the past 24 hours, 180 people died due to the deadly virus.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.

It currently stands at 0.78 percent.

It is the lowest figure reached since Mar 2020.

India's active caseload stands at 2,64,458.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.89 percent.

26,718 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours.
