New Delhi/IBNS: India added seven more than 1,000 Covid-19 cases, slightly less than what was reported a day ago, while the toll went up by 26 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.

In the same span of time, 818 Covid-19 patients have recovered across the country.

The recovery rate presently stands at 98.76%.

The active cases, which now stand at 11,058, form 0.03% of the total cases.

So far in the country, 186.22 crore anti-Covid vaccine doses have been administered under the national vaccination drive.

From Apr 10, the central government has expanded the booster dose, dubbed as precautionary dose in the country, to all adults who, however, are allowed to get jabbed only at a private medical facility.

In a remote worry for the people, Delhi, the national capital which houses Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reported almost 50 percent more cases in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 299 positive cases were reported in Delhi.
