India reports 10,549 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India added 10,549 COVID-19 cases while the toll went up by 488 in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry stated on Friday.

In the same period of time, 9,868 COVID-19 patients have recovered.

The recovery rate now stands at 98.33%, the highest since Mar 2020.

The active cases now comprise 0.32% of the total cases, the lowest since Mar 2020.

Under the national vaccination drive, 120.27 crore anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses have so far been administered in the vast country of 1.3 billion people.
