India reports 2,424 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 2,424 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 28,079 as per the Health Ministry data Monday.

As many as three fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,814

A total of 2,923 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,40,57,544.

The active cases comprise 0.06% of the total infections, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75%.

According to the bulletin, 89.71 tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 91,458 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 218.99 crore doses (94.90 crore second dose and 21.59 crore precaution dose) of Covid-19 vaccine, so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination," Ministry data said.
