India reports 4,912 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: As many as 4,912 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

The total caseload rose to 4,45,63,337 while the overall toll rose to 5,28,487 as 38 more succumbed to the disease.

A total of 5,719 more people recuperated from the disease, taking the tally to 4,39,90,414.

The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 44,436, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 89.33 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 217.41 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
