India's Covid-19 curve on the rise, over 12,000 cases reported in 24 hours

New Delhi/IBNS: India's concern over the pandemic kept growing Friday with over 12,000 Covid-19 cases being reported from various states and union territories in the last 24 hours.

As per the data provided by the Union Health Ministry, 12,847 Covid-19 cases were reported in the country.

In the same span of time, 7,985 Covid-19 patients have recovered as per the government data.

Fourteen Covid-19 infected people died in the same period of time.

The active cases, which now stand at 63,063, constitute 0.15% of the total cases.

Under the national vaccination drive, 195.84 crore anti-Covid vaccine doses have so far been administered in the vast country with a poor health infrastructure.
