India's Covid-19 tally nears 60-lakh mark with 88,600 fresh cases in last 24 hrs

New Delhi/IBNS: India on Sunday added 88,600 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the country's total tally to near the 60-lakh mark.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the Asian country stands at 59,92,532.

According to the Union Health Ministry's bulletin on coronavirus, there are 9,56,403 active cases in the country.

The total coronavirus recoveries at present are 49.41 lakh taking the overall recovery rate in the country to over 81 per cent as of Sunday.

A total of 94,503 people have lost their lives to Covid-19 until now.
