Jammu/J&K: The Jammu Blood Center at Lajwanti Hospital, Greater Kailash, stands as a beacon of hope and service for the people of Jammu and its surrounding regions.

Led by former Secretary of IRCS Jammu Region and founder of YBA (Young Blood Association) Anil Padha, the center aims to encourage 100 percent voluntary blood donations, fostering unity and empathy within the community, reported ANI.

Navneet Kour, Secretary General of ISBTI Indian Society for Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology J&K Chapter, and President of the Young Blood Association, praised the initiative, hailing the center's advanced medical transfusion technology and well-trained staff, promising unwavering support for saving precious human lives.

The Jammu Blood Center's dedication to 100 percent Blood Components Therapy adds to its commendable efforts. Dr. Paras Khanna, a key member, emphasized that this approach ensures personalized and more effective treatment, thereby enhancing patients' chances of recovery and overall well-being.

In a notable display of philanthropy and compassion, social reformer Shalini Khanna graced the center's establishment and blessed the endeavor. She urged all residents of Jammu to actively participate in this Mahayagna of Human Services, contributing to the welfare of those in need.

With ambitious plans to serve the poor, needy, Thalassemic, and Hemophilia patients better, the Jammu Blood Center seeks to establish a comprehensive Institute of Transfusion Medicine.

This institute will offer cutting-edge facilities such as HLA Typing, Platelet Serology, Stem Cells, and a Day Care Centre for Blood Transfusion, further elevating the standard of care for the community.
