Kutch in Gujarat experiences two mild tremors

Kutch, Gujarat, May 9 (IBNS) Two mild tremors in the span of one hour and 17 minutes were felt on Saturday morning in Kutch district of Gujarat.

There were reports of any casualties.

"A minor earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter Scale hit Kutch district at 6.30 AM. The epicentre of the earthquake was 22 kms northwest from Bhachau town of district," officials of the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) have been quoted as saying..

"This was followed by another  minor tremors measuring 2 on Ritcher Scale at 7.47 AM," they said.

Reports said people living in high rises  in Kutch came out of their houses after the first tremor but there were no reports of any damage to property or casualties.
