Maharashtra: 241 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Thane

Thane/UNI:  With addition of 241 new COVID-19 positive cases in Thane in a single day on Tuesday, the count of infected patients in the district climbed to 4,169, the health officials said.

Besides Thane city and Navi Mumbai, the rural parts of the district recorded a growth of as many as 19 patients, taking the total figure to 204.

Also, Thane city recorded the maximum of 53 deaths, followed by Navi Mumbai with 39, Kalyan-Dombivili-12 and Mira-Bhayander-11.

The civic body-wise break-up of the tally is as such, Thane-1353, Kalyan-Dombivili-568, Mira-Bhayander-376, Navi Mumbai-1321, Ulhasnagar-138, Bhiwandi-44, Ambernath-46, Badlapur-119 and Thane Rural-204.

Meanwhile, Palghar district has recorded total 404 cases as of today and 17 deaths to date.
