Maharashtra fights against COVID-19: More than 3 lakh people vaccinated on day one of phase three

Mumbai/UNI: More than three lakh people were vaccinated through 3295 vaccination centers on the first day of vaccination of citizens above 45 years of age in the state from Thursday.

According to official press statement stated that, the highest number of vaccinations has been done in the state till date and Pune district is leading in the state by vaccinating 57,000 people in a single day.

After that, 50,000 people were vaccinated in Mumbai on Thursday.

Till today Maharashtra state has finally achieved the highest number of vaccinations of over 65 lakh citizens in the country.

The state has already been at the forefront of corona preventive vaccination.

Against the backdrop of increasing corona, the state has set a target of vaccinating three lakh people daily to speed up vaccination and at least three lakh people are being vaccinated every day,they added.

It may noted that the state one of the worst affected due to covid recorded 43,183 positive cases with 249 deaths during past 24 hours surging positive toll to
28,56,163 and death toll 58898 till yesterday.
