Health authorities have also identified three new clusters: one cluster involving a foreign national who entered Malaysia as a ship's crew member and two more traced to Malaysians returning from India and Saudi Arabia, respectively.

Another three cases were released, bringing the total cured and discharged to 8,577 or 96.8 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 161 active cases, five are being held in intensive care units and two of them are in need of assisted breathing.
