Pangolin rescued from poachers, 5.65 kg scales seized

Bhubaneswar/UNI: The Special Task Force of the Odisha Crime Branch has arrested two persons, seized a live pangolin and 5.65 kg of scales from their possession in Subarnapur district.

Police sources said acting on a tip off the Special Task Force arrested the two accused from Mahanadi bridge near Rajakothi yesterday while they were trying to sell the Pangolin and the scales to some traders dealing in wildlife illegally.

The Pangolin was later handed over to the Sonepur Forest officials.
