Poachers kill a rhino in Kaziranga

Guwahati, Dec 27 (IBNS) : Poachers killed an one horned rhinoceros in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Saturday night, officials said.


According to reports, poachers killed an adult male rhino near Joritoli area under Burhapahar range inside the national park on Saturday night and managed to flee with its horn.

Forest guards of the world heritage site had found the dehorned bullet injuries carcass on Sunday morning.

Pocahers killed at least 17 rhinos alone in Kaziranga this year so far.

Two days before, poachers killed an adult rhino inside the national park and fled with its horn.
