Strong earthquake in Indonesia, no casualty, no Tsunami threat

Jakarta, Nov 4 (IBNS) A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 shook Indonesia on Wednesday, triggering panic among residents, but there are no immediate reports of loss of lives or damage to property, reports said.

The Indonesia authorities assured that there is no threat of a tsunamiARTA: A strong earthquake has struck off eastern Indonesia, causing panic among residents, but there are no reports of injuries or damage, and authorities say there is no threat of a tsunami, the colossal upsurge that devastated the archipelago in the past.

The US Geological Survey says the quake  was centered 28 kilometers  northeast of the Alor island chain in East Nusatenggara province. It had a depth of 14 kilometers .
