Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely in Telangana: Indian MeT dept

Hyderabad, Mar 30 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana on March 31 and April 1, the MeT warned on Saturday.

In a bulletin here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh during in next five days, while the same situation will prevail in Rayalaseema on April 1 and 2.

The maximum temperatures are likely to continue above normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius at a few places in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hour, the bulletin said.

Dry weather prevailed in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.

In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad, while the lowest minimum temperature of 22 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad during the last 24 hours.

In Hyderabad the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 39 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added

In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius was recorded at Kurnool, while the lowest minimum temperature of 23 degree Celsius was recorded at Jungamaheswarapuram and Arogyavaram.

In Vijayawada the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 37 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added.
