Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely to occur in Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warnagal, Suryapet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mechal –Malakajgiri of Telangana during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Department said on Tuesday.

In a bulletin here, it also said that thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh on February 27 and 28.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh from February 27 to March 2 and in Telagana on February 26 and 27.

The maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at isolated places in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.

In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius was recorded at Mahabubnagar, while the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad during the last 24 hours.

In Hyderabad, the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 37 and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius was recorded at Tirupati and Kurnool, while the lowest minimum temperature of 17 degree Celsius was recorded at Arogyavaram.

In Vijayawada the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 36 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added.
