With 2.34 lakh fresh infections, COVID cases drop slightly from yesterday

New Delhi/IBNS: India registered 2.34 lakh fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, marking a marginal drop in the daily infections from yesterday, the Union Health Ministry stated in its health bulletin on Sunday.

The country's active caseload currently stands at 18,84,937, which is at 4.59 per cent.

However, the recovery rate has decreased to 94.21 per cent.

The daily positivity rate was up from 13.39 per cent to 14.50 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 16.40 per cent.

Meanwhile, 165.70 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
