World Heart Day observed at Dispur Hospitals

Guwahati, Sept 29 (IBNS): The city based Dispur Hospitals on Thursday organized a free health camp on the occasion of World Heart Day at Ganeshguri premises in Guwahati, where over 80 patients from Golaghat, Tezpur,Nagaon and Kamrup districts participated.

The camp succeeded in detecting many new diabetic cases along with few complicated heart patients.

Dr Banajit Chaudhury and Dr Chandan Modak of the health institution conducted the daylong camp.

Earlier, a morning march for creating awareness about various heart ailments was organized, where nearly 100 participants wearing heart day T-shirts joined in it.

The walkathan  participants showing various placards relating to cardio vascular diseases marched on the city streets.

The march was flagged off by journalist Nava Thakuria in presence of Dr Jayanta Bardoloi, Dr SN Goswami, Ujjal Saikia etc along with the employees of Dispur Hospitals.
