Acropolis Mall regales Kolkata with an early Holi celebration

Kolkata/IBNS: Kolkata's popular shopping mall Acropolis decided to welcome the festival of colours, Holi (or Doljatra as it is known in West Bengal) early in the season with a special food festival called 'Rang Barse'.

Held between March 18 and 21, visitors enjoyed a wide range of food spread, including snacks, fritters, chaat, phuchka, thandai, lassi, Holi special sweets, paan, ancha, papad, etc.

On sale were organic colors, pichkari, and other festival related products.

On the most exciting events which drew a large crowd was the Thandai Making Competition which was judged by noted chef Shaun Kenworthy.
