Arunachal: India Post unveils special cover featuring Adi traditional ornament in Pasighat

Pasighat/Arunachal: India Post unveiled a commemorative cover featuring the dudap, a traditional Adi ornament, during a ceremony held at the Adi Bane Kebang (ABK) office in Arunahal's East Siang district on Saturday.

In attendance were DC Tayi Taggu, former ABK (Apex) president Tony Pertin, Adi Cultural and Literary Society president Kaling Borang, Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Superintendent of Itanagar Post Office, and Adi Bane Ane Kebang president Onam Pertin and its general secretary Binoimoti Modi Taying, who jointly unveiled the special cover.

Describing the cover as "a homage to the cultural opulence and heritage of the Adi community specifically and the state at large," Taggu emphasized that the initiative by the postal department serves to propagate the traditional ornament's significance on a global scale, reports The Arunachal Times.

The event also witnessed contributions from the other distinguished speakers, underscoring the cover's cultural and historic value.
