CBSE class 12th results announced

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced its much-awaited 12th board result in which girls again outperformed boys with 94.54 pass percentage while boys percentage stood at 91.25.

The overall pass percentage was 92.71 per cent. A total of 1435366 students appeared for the 12th examination, of which 1330662 students cleared their exams.

Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest pass percentage (98.83 pc), followed by Bengaluru (98.16 pc), Chennai (97.79 pc) while Delhi East and Delhi West saw 96.29 per cent.

Meanwhile, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh recorded the lowest pass percentage with 83.71 per cent.

The pass percentage of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya was 93.93, followed by CTSA (94.96 pc), Kendriya Vidyalayas (97.04 pc), government aided schools (94.81), government schools (93.38 pc) and others (92.20 pc).

The board exams were conducted between April 26 and June 15.
