Dramebaazi 2, curated by Ramanjit Kaur and Baisali Chatterjee Dutt, to be held on Saturday

Kolkata, Apr 22 (IBNS): Theatre personality Ramanjit Kaur and author Baisali Chatterjee Dutt-curated children's carnival Dramebaazi 2 is going to be held on Saturday.

Dramebaazi 1, which was held in 2018 at Children's Theatre Carnival, was launched by The Creative Arts and FACES  (Imran Zaki ).

The second edition this year will be held on Saturday, Apr 27 from 10 am to 7 pm, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Kolkata.

Dramebaazi Season 2 will be spread out over the entire day. The Carnival will be divided into two parts.

From 10.30 am to 3.30 pm, various workshops will be held. Children and teenagers between 5 years and 17 years will be offered opportunities to take part in nineteen different activities related to theatre – open mic, mask making, dance movement therapy, spoken words, rhythmic drums, radio jockeying, Chinese paper cutting, book making and stamp making, paper sculptures, upcycle art (cardboard challenge), creative writing, storytelling, acting workshop, Kalaripayattu, Chhau, music medley, acting, ready steady speak (extempore) and organic dyeing.

The theme of Dramebaazi Season 2  is 'Towards Freedom' - freedom from hatred, war, borders, pressure, anxiety, pollution, environmental hazards, or any hindrances that come in the way of our well being.

The event is being held in aid of charity for the underprivileged children of Disha, an NGO.

From 4pm to 7pm, performances will take place and will be graced by the Chief Guests Masayuki Taga,  the Consul General , Japan,  Alexey Idamkin, the Consul General, Russia and  Juergen Thomas Schrod, the Deputy Consul General , Germany, and the Guests of Honour: the Regional Director ICCR - Goutam De, Pandit Tanmoy Bose and Jimmy Tangree.

4) 4:35 pm : CSM Kids  ( Shuktara Lal )

5) 4:45 pm : TCA Kids -  Pattachitra storytelling

6) 4:55 pm : Unerase Poetry from Mumbai ( Simar Singh and Ramneek Singh )

7) 5:05 pm : TCA Kids- RAP / Acapella / Beat Boxing

8) 5:15 pm : Pt. Tanmoy Bose's Students

9) 5:25 pm : Love Thyself

10) 5:35 pm : TCA Kids - Choral Recitation

11) 5:45 pm : Little Readers

12) 5:55 pm : Maruti Kallari , Kerala ( Master Ajith, Soma Giri & Students )

13) 6:05 pm : Doodle Room - Ballet and Kathak  Dance

14) 6:15 Pm : Sapphire Creations - Contemporary Dance

15) 6:25pm : Malabika and Group - Skit

16) 6:35 pm : Unerase Poetry,  Mumbai ( Simar Singh and Ramneek Singh)
