Eastern India’s first Toyota Safety Park inaugurated at The Heritage School in Kolkata

Kolkata, Mar 17 (IBNS): Eastern India’s First Toyota Safety Park was inaugurated at Kolkata's The Heritage School by Akito Tachibana, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, India.

The inauguration, which was held on Friday, was also attended by Naveen Soni, Vice-president, External Affairs & CSR Division, Toyota Kirloskar; Jaydeep Chitlangia, Chairman, School Managing Committee and Manav Bansal, Member, School Managing Committee, The Heritage School; Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Seema Sapru, Principal, and Meenakshi Atal, Vice-principal, The Heritage School, among others.

Prior to this, Toyota had provided training to drivers as well as students of the School on traffic rules and regulations to be followed to stay safe and secured while walking on the road.

There was also a lamp lighting ceremony held at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of The Heritage campus for “The Safety Model School”.

Apart from the dignitaries mentioned above, Ashok Manaktala, Chairman, Topsel, Amit Manaktala, MD, Topsel, also attended the ceremony.

Ashok Manaktala Chairman, Topsel, in his welcome address said that safety is the prime issue nowadays in metropolitan areas.

Akito Tachibana spoke about the various ways through which Toyota is reaching out to the audience to spread the message of safety.

Students from the school presented cultural programmes, including singing and dancing, and a mime presentation on road safety.

“For us, one of the prime objectives in School education is safety and we welcome these initiatives so that every student gets the finest exposure and become aware of the traffic rules and regulations which is of utmost importance,” said Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of institutions/

The programme ended with a Safety Pledge being taken by all present to help transform the young students of today into sensitive and sensible road users of the future.
