Google celebrates 250th birth anniversary of Charles Macintosh

Mountain View, Dec 29 (IBNS): Web giant Google on Thursday celebrated the 250th birth anniversary of Charles Macintosh, the inventor of waterproof fabrics.

The doodle shows Macintosh standing in the rain, wearing a hat and a raincoat, water repelling his dress.

Macintosh was a Scottish chemist, who was born in 1766 in Glasgow.

In 1823, he was granted a patent for the waterproof fabric.
