JLF: Ashok Wadhwa hosts dinner to welcome Thomas Piketty

Jaipur, Jan 25 (IBNS) : Ambit Holdings CEO Ashok Wadhwa and his wife Reena, hosted a dinner to welcome economist Thomas Piketty to the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2016.

As the sun came down on the second day of the Festival, an array of wordsmiths, corporate leaders and the crème-de-la-crème of high society came together for the sit-down dinner, which was co-hosted with the producers and directors of the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival, at the Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur.

Ashok Wadhwa raised a toast to Thomas Piketty and the other authors and guests present at the table with a few words, saying, “We are delighted that Thomas and Julia have decided to accept our invitation and join us for this dinner. We think of this as a very special occasion and it certainly would not have been this special if all of you had not been with us tonight.”

As he thanked his hosts, graciously, for a wonderful evening, Piketty said, “I was not aware that I was supposed to speak tonight but it is a great honor to be here tonight an being able to come to Jaipur Literature Festival 2016. It is more important than ever today to have a gathering like Jaipur Literature Festival and I am really looking forward to being a part of the event over the next few days.”
