The theme of the painting exercise organized at the Indian Education Society (IES) School, Vashi was ‘Swacch Bharat’, the brain-child of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and witnessed active participation from around 3500 kids from various schools.

The International Association of Arts (IAA) designated 15th April as World Art Day for all artists and art lovers to celebrate emphasizing the importance of art in everyone’s lives and Kokuyo Camlin took lead in popularizing the concept from 2014 as the company always promotes art.

"The objective this year was to raise public awareness about World Art Day along with the concept of cleanliness and hygiene and at the same time attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest canvas to be painted in a single day", claimed the organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Saumitra Prasad, Chief Marketing Officer, Kokuyo Camlin Limited said, “We are extremely delighted to create history in our country by creating the world largest canvas in a single ever, and with the help of Children. This is the second consecutive year of Kokuyo Camlin celebrating World Art Day and every year it’s becoming bigger and bigger. We hope in the process, we shall be able to promote art, a subject extremely important in the overall development of children, and necessary to make earning more fun.”

With kids putting their thoughts and take on cleanliness on canvas, the IES ground was bubbling with life and energy. Live music and performances, visits by famous cartoon characters just kept the venue lively.

"The canvas was painted with Camel Artists Acrylic Colours and this iconic artwork will be gifted to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Further to this the canvas will be auctioned and the proceedings will be used for charity", said Kokuyo Camlin Limited.
