Kolkata Literature Festival gets underway at book fair

Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): The second edition of Kolkata Literature Festival (KLF) was inaugurated on Friday through a programme at the KLF Auditorium (SBI Auditorium) in the Milan Mela book fair ground here.

The president of Publishers and Book Sellers Guild Tridib Chatterjee, CEO of Prasar Bharti Jawhar Sircar, writers Bani Basu, Shobhaa De and bureaucrat turned writer Upamanyu Chatterjee were present there at the inaugural programme.

The lead vocalist of Bengali band 'Chandrabindoo', Anindya Chatterjee, staged a welcome song which was specially created for the book fair.

The first book of Anindya Chatterjee, 'Ek Din Byapi' (One day long) was launched by Bani Basu  at the KLF auditorium.

Anindya Chatterjee told IBNS that the book was the story format of his critically acclaimed film 'Open Tee Bioscope'.

KLF 2015 will continue up to Feb 8 (Sunday) inside Milan Mela ground, which is where the book fair is hosted every year now.
