Kolkata: Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers unveils their 'Akshaya-Tritiya Collection'

Kolkata, April 13 (IBNS): Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers revealed their exclusive line of Gold and Diamond Jewellery for Akshaya-Tritiya at their Gariahat showroom in Kolkata, on Thursday.

Tollywood actress Rukmini Maitra along with  Rupak Saha and Arpita Saha, directors of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, were present at the launch.

Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers' collection for this festive season includes light and heavy ornaments, specially designer neck-pieces, bangles, and pendants with earring sets featuring 'minakari' work, fine wire work and 'chila' (chiselled) work.

The price range starts at Rs. 28,000 for light jewellery.

According to store representative, the price depends on weight, the work and other other things. While a 15gm bangle is likely to cost around Rs. 50,000, a necklace may cost around Rs. 100,000.

Earrings and classic finger rings are priced keeping in mind the average budget of buyers with the store offering a significant discount on making charges, said the store owners.

It was also announced that anyone who buys jewellery between April 15 and 20, will get a discount of 20 per cent  on making charge of gold jewellery and 50 per cent on that of diamond jewellery.

While speaking to IBNS, Rupak Saha said, “Our designs are very contemporary and is suitable for modern women who prefer less of glitter and more of artistic appeal.”

Rukmini Maitra, whose film Kabir is launching on Friday, too agreed with Saha and said, “Yes, I am very much attracted by this modern and contemporary look of the jewellery and would request all to visit the store and make a purchase."
