Kolkata, Sept 19 (IBNS): Lifestyle store chain Starmark, in association with Supernova Publishers, hosted the launch of Brijeshwar Singh's book 'In and Out of Theaters' by actor Om Puri at its South City Mall outlet on Friday.

Kathak dancer Chetna Jalan and surgeon Kalyan Sarkar were present at the event here.

Speaking on the occasion, Chetna Jalan told IBNS, "Dr. Brijeshwar Singh is a very good doctor and a theater lover also. He loves theater from the depth of his mind. He wrote the book very well. This book is all about the vignettes that capture his works."

Launching the book, actor Om Puri said, "This book is a wonderful combination. Dr. Brijeshwar Singh has a personal equation with the patients which is not very rare. Some other doctors also have same qualities. But he is only doctor who comes out with his book, describing doctor-patient relationships."

After the book launch, when was asked about the FTII row, Om Puri told IBNS: "It is very sad. I met the students there. I told them that if the government plays a adamant role, fight becomes difficult. They are on hunger strike and getting sick. I suggested them to give the committee, formed by the government, a chance of six months and see what happens. Then if you not satisfy, then you can start strike again."

"I will also request the government, the committees in educational institutes should be apolitical. Academicians should get the chance to lead a committee, who knows the administration properly. This decision of the government should be reviewed," he added.

However, the book is available at all the Starmark outlets in India and priced at Rs 295.
