Mumbai, Apr 2 (IBNS) Splashing the runway with a burst of numerous hues, Siddhartha Bansal epitomized his design story with crafty prints and embroideries in fluid silhouettes and timeless creations for men and women at Stage One during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 on Saturday.

The collection called “Doors” depicted the osmosis between two culturally rich nations. It signified the diffusion of art, architecture and craftsmanship influence, which had been portrayed on the ‘Doors’ erected between the nations. The visionary artist narrated the story of the diverse ‘Doors’ that have changed throughout generations of life.

Iridescent motifs were a visual marvel throughout the show. Siddhartha used ingenious motifs intermingled with pop culture, splashing a plethora of colours - pale lime, yellow, peach pink, purple, mauve, pink, white, bottle green, turquoise, emerald and neutral brown  over the ditsy clothing line. The intermingling of Rajasthani culture with Turkish architecture was beamed through his apparel. The fabric story was rich and luxurious with pure crépe, Satin, Dupion Silk, chiffon and Scuba that added a dramatic touch to the creations.

The print glory along with the vivacious vertical stripes continued through skirts and pants, teamed with matching blouses and a male suit set. It was interrupted by spaced out cactus print that decorated a jumpsuit for the women’s wear and a matching jacket and trouser set for the male wardrobe.

Revealing his distinct style theory that added drama on the catwalk, there was a long white tunic with a lone cactus motif that was followed by a top with the same print that complemented the burst of colours introduced on the skirt. The hues came alive through the opalescent designs on a long tunic over a flared pant. The engaging pattern on the splayed skirt along with a voluminous top was the concluding ensemble of the collection.
