NEET-PG exam to be held this month, question paper to be prepped 2 hours prior: Reports
New Delhi/IBNS: The NEET-PG exam, conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses, will be held this month, media reports said after the Home Ministry met officials from the government's anti-cybercrime body.
The question paper will be prepared two hours earlier, NDTV quoting sources said.
Scheduled for June 23 the NEET-PG exam was postponed hours before its start amid a row over alleged irregularities, including leaked papers, for the UG exam.
The government had then said it would "undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of processes of NEET-PG, conducted by the National Board of Examinations for medical students".
The decision, the government said, had been taken in students' best interest.
The scrapping of the exam, for which lakhs of aspiring medical professionals had enrolled, triggered furious protests, particularly from those who had travelled long distances to appear for the same.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan appointed a committee to probe complaints.
The cancellation followed public outcry over the NEET-UG and the UGC-NET test, the latter is held to appoint assistant professors to colleges and universities as well as to award research fellowships.
Since June 4, when the results of the premiere NEET examination were declared, protests and demonstrations rocked the country over allegations of paper leak and preferential marking.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education cancelled the UGC-NET exam a day after it.
The National Testing Agency, which was in charge of these exams, has been heavily criticised.
