NSHM Media School dean Mahul Brahma conferred D.Litt by University of Central America

Academician and author Prof Dr Mahul Brahma was conferred Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) by University of Central America, Bolivia.

The honorary title was conferred by the university for his contributions towards higher education and in literary space with his writings on academia and luxury, according to a media release.

Prof Brahma is a Fellow of the Commercial Education Society of Australia (FCES) and a life member of the Indo British Scholars’ Association (IBSA). He is a Visiting Research Fellow with Bath Business School, Bath Spa University in the UK. His latest book Bharat, A Luxe Story was recently launched by Bath Spa University Pro Vice Chancellor Professor John Strachan in the Newton Park campus in the city of Bath.

Last year, he received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from American Council on Management and IT (ACMIT, US). He was conferred his first honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt) by California Public University in 2020.

Prof Brahma is Dean of NSHM Media School and is the former Dean of Adamas University. He has held senior editorial positions with leading national and international publications for a decade such as Economic Times.

He has also spent a decade with the corporate as brand custodian and head of communications and CSR with a Tata group company.

He is a TEDx speaker, a luxury commentator and a two-time Sahityakosh Samman-winning author of 10 books, including Aesthetic Leadership in Luxury, Quiet Luxury, Mythic Value of Luxury and The Luxe Trilogy. He is a golfer with a 7 handicap.

Brahma is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, Cambridge Judge Business School, St Xavier’s College, Sri Satya Sai University, University of Calcutta and MICA.
