Nusrat Jahan inaugurates 4th Max store in Kolkata

Kolkata, Nov 9 (IBNS): Bengali actress Nusrat Jahan inaugurated the 4th ‘Max’ store at Avani Riverside Mall in Kolkata on Sunday.

She also unveiled the Max Winter 2014 collection.

The new Max store aims at providing customers a one-stop shop for international styles at affordable rates.

The store displays fashionable apparel, footwear and accessories. Max retails out its own private label merchandise which is created by a team of in-house designers.

“I feel really glad to be part of this entire event. Max is a big brand and as far as I know, it is the only brand which has initiated the concept of value-for-money. They have national and international clothing lines under one roof. The ambiance is also very nice. I think everybody will have a good shopping experience here because they have different sections for men, women and kids. So, I think it’s really amazing that a brand like Max is now open at Avani Riverside Mall,” Nusrat said.

The Regional Marketing Manager of Max, Anirban Kundu, said, “Basically we are launching our store today. With this ceremony we are unveiling the Winter Collection of Max. It is represented in a catalog for our customers. The basic theme of this year’s winter collection is to ‘be new everyday’. In this catalog the customers will not only be familiarized with our products and its range, but also with the look they’ll carry. Say, it has guidelines on how to drape a scarf in 4-5 different ways and things like that.”

On being asked about her personal style statement for winter, Nusrat said “For the winters, I’ll go for something really comfortable, which will keep me really warm as well. In Kolkata, you don’t need winter clothes as such because it’s not that cold over here. Otherwise, winter clothes are highly fashionable. There are Fur Jackets, Leather Jackets, Trench Coats and Cowl-neck Sweaters for winters. I am very fond of Turtle-neck T-shirts and Tops in the winters. I think accessories should be kept in the minimum with the look. The kind of clothes I’ll wear in winter, if I add accessories to it, I’ll be overdoing it. So I think a nice belt and a watch will do the trick.”

To mark the occasion, Max has partnered with a leading NGO called, Child Care. Max has taken the initiative to distribute gifts to little children.

Max has also announced an exclusive inaugural offer on shop for Rs. 1999 or above, customers will get a travel bag worth Rs. 699 for Rs. 99.
