Kolkata/IBNS: Professionals from disparate fields with no acting background from a city-based theatre group came together to enact a drama on 1952 iconic Bengali film Share Chuattor at the Minerva Theatre Tuesday.

The actors from the group, named Amader Sanglap, used to perform one drama every year driven by their "passion" towards theatre.

The drama, which was based on Uttam Kumar-Suchitra Sen starrer film, was directed by Atanu Sen.

Theatre personality Achintya Dutta was present at the Minerva Theatre in the evening for the inauguration of the entire programme.

Speaking about the group's effort, Amader Sanglap said officially, "Each and every member of the group are well established in their respective professional fields but only to carry forward the tradition and culture they have formed the group.

"Every year we perform a drama which is self funded."
