Seminar on women empowerment and safeguard against atrocities organized by EIRC of ICAI

Kolkata, Mar 14 (IBNS): With increase of harassment in the city and country at large, towards the feminine gender by people and with the purpose of spreading awareness in the society Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a Seminar" on The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act & Panel Discussion on How to Balance between Professional & Personal Life.

The event was also attended by eminent personalities like:  DR. SHASHI PANJA, Minister of Children & Women Welfare, CS Mamta Binani, Vice President, ICSI, Ms. Swati Gautam, Entrepreneur, Dr. (Ms.) DeepikaKedia, Gastroenterologist, Ms.Chandni Jain, Chartered Accountant, Ms.Sanchita Bhattacharya, Danseuse & CA Pramod Dayal Rungta, Chairman, EIRC of ICAI.

With the deliberation of two renowned speakers one of our fraternity and another a renowned legal practitioner, we would be made aware about the importance of the topic which is alarming and sensational, wherein we professionals is required to be aware first, consider and act to bring the menace under control.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No. XXXVIII of 1949) for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India.
