Story celebrates Mother's Day with a panel discussion on 'Single Motherhood'

Kolkata, May 10 (IBNS): Story, one of the most talked about leisure stores of the city, celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday with a panel discussion on 'Single Motherhood'.

To participate in this discussion, Story invited eminent personalities from various fields to speak about those women who have taken this bold step.

The panelists included Dancer and Actor, Aloknanda Roy; Former MP and Chair Person of Netaji Research Bureau,  Krishna Bose; Sugato Bose;  Konkon Mitra;  Utpala Sen; Filmmaker Anindita Sarbadhikari; Artist Eleena Banik;Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharia; . Rima MuKherjee;  Sudeshna Basu, and Filmmaker Sudeshna Roy, who was also the Moderator of the event.

It was an hour-long programme and the discussion covered topics like medical and health issues; social, peer and identity related issues; psychological ramifications and legal counselling for a mother; I.V.F. procedures; psychological, family and social pressures, and reasons for choosing single motherhood.
