Supreme Court to hear plea to cancel CBSE exams

| @indiablooms | Feb 22, 2022, at 10:53 pm

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear on Wednesday a plea seeking cancellation of physical exam for Class 10 and 12 to be conducted by the CBSE, ICSE and state boards.

A Bench headed by Justice A M Khanwilkar asked the advocate of the petitioner to serve a copy of the petition to the CBSE and all state boards.

The apex court agreed to list the matter for Wednesday after the counsel of the petitioner urged for an urgent listing of the case and argued that classes were not conducted offline even after Covid-19 situation improved.

The petition was filed by child rights activist Anubha Shrivastava Sahai seeking directions to the boards who are going to conduct the exams for Class 10 and 12 in offline mode to pass a notification regarding an alternate mode of assessment instead of offline exams.
