Tata Crucible Campus Quiz to enter its 12th year

Mumbai, Feb 1 2 (IBNS): When Kunal Malhotra and Viraj Bake signed up for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz in 2015, they knew they had to be better than the best; they had to be first amongst equals.

And all through their journey to the finale, the two from IIFT Kolkata played a game laced with passion and panache, and displayed their intellectual prowess like never before.

This year, the 12th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is being expanded to cover 36 cities and will kick-off beginning February 13, from Goa and will culminate in Mumbai in April 2016.

Commenting on this knowledge initiative pioneered by the Tata group, Atul Agrawal, Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Tata Services, said, “The Tata Crucible Campus Quiz endeavours to nurture the young talent who are knowledge-hungry and passionate about quizzing. We believe that having all the right pieces in hand is not enough to crack the puzzle, making them fit together to arrive at the bigger picture matters. We are delighted at the response of the students and support from the colleges, and are happy to launch the new edition expanding it to 36 cities across the country”.

Regional round winners will compete in the zonal finals and the top two teams from each zone will be invited to the national finals, to be held in Mumbai.

The winners of the national finals will receive a grand prize of Rs. 5,00,000 along with the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy; the winners of the regional rounds and runners-up will be awarded a prize money of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 35,000 respectively.
