West Bengal based Guru Nanak Institute of Technology starts online internship for its Second and Third Year students

Kolkata/IBNS: Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, the flagship college of JIS Group, has arranged online intersnsip opportunities for its students, keeping in mind the lockdown and travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic crisis, it said recently in a release.

As West Bengal enters into its eighth week of lock down, almost all sectors have remodeled and re-adjusted their system of operations.

In this regard, the foremost and fastest adaptation has been seen in  the education sector.

In its usual pattern of offering student internship for its second and third year students, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) quickly switched to providing its students with online internship opportunities.

Said Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, “1,373 students mostly from second year and third year of GNIT received online internship opportunity. This was done through Internshala, which is the nation’s premier internship and training platform that includes more than 40,000 paid internships in streams of Engineering, MBA, Law, Media, Arts ,etc. The internship amount ranges from Rs 4,000 per month up to Rs 35,000 per month. Our students are already doing Internship in leading companies such as Capgemini and ITC Infotech."

Prof (Dr.) Santanu Kr. Sen, Principal, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, said, “We see this online internship opportunity as a very encouraging and positive element for our students and this will keep their enthusiasm high. Not only will they learn, they would be earning sitting at their homes during this lock down period. Internship is being provided in companies like Building Dreams Foundation, INDIA Redefined, PNJ HUB, Chaithanyam Institute of Development, Hamari Pahchan NGO, Concept Research Media Tech and Info Solutions Private Limited, Nondestructive Test Appliances Pvt. Ltd, Motherson Automotive, Jay Hind Motor Limited, ELITE Techno Group, Aptsource Software, Champion InfoMetrics Pvt Ltd, WEROKO Innovations & Solution to name a few."
