150 militants waiting across LoC to sneak into Indian side: Army

Srinagar, Jan 24 (IBNS): General Officer Commanding of the Army’s 15 Corps Lt General Subrata Saha on Saturday said that 150-160 militants are waiting across the Line of Control (LoC) to infiltrate into Indian side, media reports said.

“There are 17 launch pads and 150 to 160 militants across the Line of Control waiting for infiltration,” Lt General Saha said.

The statement came at a time when there is a nationwide security alert ahead of US President Barack Obama’s much-anticipated visit to India beginning from Sunday.

Saha said that the banning of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa and restrictions on his movements are important announcements by Pakistan.

“But we will have to wait to see how this manifests on the ground and how it is implemented. It is clearly engaging our attention and we are monitoring the situation,” he said, according to reports.
