New Delhi: After the announcement of the 2024 Lok Sabha election schedule on Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged the public to vote against dictatorship and hooliganism.

In a social media post on X, the AAP chief said, “The dates of Lok Sabha elections in the country have been announced. It’s a great festival of democracy. I appeal to all the countrymen to vote this time against dictatorship and hooliganism.”

“The AAP works on the real issues of the people and facilitates them. Wherever AAP candidates are contesting the elections, strengthen our hands by voting for the 'jhaadu' [AAP’s party symbol], so that we can work for you with more energy," Kejriwal added.

The Lok Sabha polls will be conducted in seven phases beginning on April 19 and ending on June 1. The counting will take place on June 4.

The Election Commission today announced the poll schedule for the General Election 2024 as well as for the assembly polls in four states.

The seven Lok Sabha constituencies in the national capital will go to polls on May 25 during the sixth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
