Panaji, Apr 28 (UNI): A 25-year-old woman tourist from Himachal Pradesh was found dead at a hotel at Arpora in North Goa on Saturday and police suspected it to be a case of murder.

According to police, the victim identified as Alka Saini had checked into the hotel on April 20, 2019, along with her boyfriend, who was missing.

“We have found stabbing marks on her neck. Her body was found by hotel’s maintenance staff after they entered the room for cleaning on Saturday,” police said.

According to police sources, the CCTV of the hotel showed that two men had exited the room of the victim before the body was discovered by the staff.

While efforts had been intensified to trace the duo and police personnel posted at airport, railway stations and bus stands, the body was sent for post-mortem.

A case of murder was registered at Anjuna Police Station.
