30 killed in Odisha after bus falls into a gorge

Bhubaneswar, Apr 18 (IBNS) At least 30 people were killed and eight injured when a bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge in Odisha's Deogarh district on Sunday evening, reports said.

Those killed were artists of  Bharati Gananatya opera party. They was returning to Remta in Bargarh district from Deogarh after a performance.

 Odisha Disaster Response Force (ODRAF), police personnel and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers have been  engaged in rescue operation .

Those critically injured  have been admitted in district hospital. 

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the incident.
