Raipur, May 9 (IBNS) Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Chhattisgarh, Maoists have held captive about 300 people of Marenga village in Sukma district, reports said.
The Maoist act is believed to be aimed at stopping the villagers from attending Modi's rally scheduled to be held on Saturday.
Boycotting Modi's visit to the Bastar region, Moaists have called a two-day Dandakaranya bandh on May 8 and 9.

According to official reports, more than 15,000 security officials have been deployed for Modi's visit. The road which Modi will take is being sanitized.
