34-year-old Aussie mountaineer dead while descending Everest

New Delhi/Kathmandu, May 23 (IBNS) A 34-year-old Australian woman reportedly died on Saturday, while descending Mt. Everest, according to reports.

Maria Strydom, the deceased, became the second fatality after Dutch climber Eric Ary Arnold, who died a day earlier, on Friday.

Several climbers were also reported to have been suffering from frost bite, while there were some new records created.

Lhakpa Sherpa, a Nepalese climber, permanently residing in the US, broke her own record of most number of summit finish by a woman, as she reached the summit once again.
