Itanagar, June 24  (IBNS): Five construction labourers were buried alive while a wall of an under construction RCC building collapsed in Arunachal Pradesh’s capital city Itanagar on Sunday morning.

According to the reports, the incident took place at Doni colony area at around 6-30 am when the labourers were in deep sleep.

Due to heavy rain last night, the wall, along with soil, suddenly caved on the adjacent temporary constructed shed of the labourers and they were trapped under the collapsed structure.

The deceased labourers were identified as Pappu Katiya, Pappu Garel, Bablu Telenga, Jiten Telenga and Kanha Kanwar and they were hailing from Assam’s Biswanath Chariali and engaged in the construction site.

Later, the NDRF, state fire and emergency services personnel had recovered the body.
