81-year-old raped, killed by help in Delhi

New Delhi, July 9 (IBNS) An 81-year-old woman was raped and then strangled to death in a plus south Delhi apartment allegedly by her domestic help on Monday, sending shock waves across the city.

Media reports the help also set the body on fire to prove it as an accidental fire.

The accused Neeraj Saki is only 21 and was employed by the victim, Rekha Duggal, ten months ago.

Police reached the spot after report of a fire in the apartment in Greater Kailash and then discovered the burnt body in the bedroom.

The woman's children were abroad.

Police then found strangulation marks.

The accused also confessed to raping her before killing her.
