ACB caught Divisional AO on charges of bribery

Hyderabad, May 25 (UNI) The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday caught red-handed Divisional Administrative Officer, Revenue Divisional Office (RDO), Mancherial when he was accepting bribe amount of Rs 50,000.

Gudem Manohar Rao, Divisional Administrative Officer, RDO Office, Mancherial was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant Appasu Ramanna, a private Videographer to do an official favour-- to prepare the bills pertaining to the videography coverage taken up by the complainant and others in Mancherial constituency during the General Elections for Telangana State Legislative Assembly, 2018, and to get the cheques issued to them in this regard, an ACB statement here said.

The bribe amount of Rs 50,000 was recovered from him at his instance.

The Divisional Administrative Officer was being arrested and produced before the SpI. Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Karimnagar, the statement added.
